07 Nov THIS WEEK: VOTE
Life is full of choices. The clothes we wear, the food we eat, the friends we keep, and the candidates we select. And, at the end of the day, the choices we make say a lot about who we are. They are a statement about our feelings, beliefs, priorities, and understanding. Of course, some of our choices don’t have huge consequences. Take for example the color of socks we wore or the flavor of coffee sweetener we drank today. However, many of our choices do have an impact. In fact, tomorrow is just one of those biggies. So, this week, we want you to VOTE. A vote is simply a choice. A statement. A right. And, it is one of those choices that not only did a lot of people sacrifice to give us, but not everyone has the right to exercise. So honor it and don’t let it be the one choice you decide not to make this year. Now, we get it. If you choose not to decide you have still made “a choice.” But in the spirit of being relevant, owning something, and actively engaging in life and our future, not voting is not a choice that aligns well with all of that. Sure, let a colleague pick your next lunch spot, but for this election, please make your choice. Remember, even if you pass on where to go for lunch, you don’t get the right to complain about your tuna salad. Voting matters.
