The need for social and emotional learning for our youth has never been greater. Right now, they are facing challenges that are devastating for their mental and emotional well-being:
The EMM Education Program is a free social and emotional learning (SEL) curriculum that has reached over 2 million students in 49 states and 6 countries. There are over two decades of research that demonstrate the life-changing impact of SEL programs:
Students participating in SEL programs increased their academic performance 11%, compared to students who did not participate in SEL. (CASEL SEL Summary, 2019)
SEL decreased the likelihood of living in public housing, receiving public assistance, having police involvement, and ever spending time in a detention facility. (American Journal of Public Health, 2015)
The average ROI is 11 to 1, meaning for every dollar invested into SEL there is a return of $11. (Columbia University, 2016)
SEL programming can have a positive impact up to 18 years on academics, conduct problems, emotional distress, and drug use. (CASEL Meta-Analysis, 2017)
We are committed to providing our education program at no cost to our students, teachers, schools, after-school programs, and families. We believe in removing the barriers of accessibility to ensure that every student knows how much and why they matter. Let’s make this happen, together. Every dollar donated makes a difference. Our youth, matter.
