THIS WEEK: READ A BOOK

We all love a good story. You know the script… a character that we fall in love with ends up facing challenging times, and we get behind them and do all we can to help and hope them get to other side and reach their […]

THIS WEEK: PRACTICE PATIENCE

Foot-tappers. Watch-watchers. Barista-starers. Horn-honkers. Tail-gaters. This week is just for you. Do you already know where this is heading? Well, please be patient and let us explain. We just need a few more minutes of your precious time and you will know exactly what this […]

THIS WEEK: Unplug

If someone offered you $100 a day to give up your cell phone could you do it? Would you do it? What if they offered you $500 a day? Or $1,000. And, if you think you could do it for one day, well how about […]

THIS WEEK: RE-BALANCE

Yes, it is hard to believe, but we are just about half way through the year. Wow… that was fast. Too fast. So, we have a question for you? How are you doing on your New Year’s Resolutions this year? Are you healthier? Have you […]

THIS MONTH: MONDAY GETS CALM

Summer is unofficially here. We just celebrated Memorial Day, students are wrapping up the school year, and the popular question of “What do you have planned for the summer?” is starting to fill the airwaves. Well, what do you have planned? Is it a summer goal? A family vacation? Home project? Because there seems to be an implied meaning behind the “summer plans” question and it causes us to feel like we have to have some elaborate, creative, jealous-provoking answer. We can’t say, “Nothing” or something not newsworthy. The Jones’ certainly wouldn’t like that answer. Or, can we? Is it not okay just to say, “I’m not going to do much.” We think that is just fine. Maybe summer is the perfect time to just slow down, exhale, and GET CALM. Doesn’t that sound nice? Just saying the word, “CALM” already has an effect on us. “CALM.” “CALM.” “CALM.” Can you feel it? We do, so we are going to take it down a notch this month. Let’s check in with ourselves and do an inventory on “things.” Let’s unplug for a second and maybe miss an email or Tweet or two. Maybe even set aside some time to read a good book or work on practicing patience. Hopefully this is already starting to sound like a great answer for you to share. You might even inspire others to follow your lead. Getting CALM matters.
