THIS WEEK: CELEBRATE YOU MATTER DAY

We have an important announcement to make. You are awesome, amazing, one-of-a-kind, and a true gift to the world. How does that feel? Do you believe it? Well, you should… because you are. This week, we want to celebrate YOU. And, you get to celebrate […]

THIS WEEK: SEEK EQUALITY

It is really easy for us to think about what it is we want for ourselves. Maybe it is a getting that new promotion or catching the eye of someone special. But how often do we want things for other people? Even if we don’t […]

THIS WEEK: ENJOY VARIETY

Imagine walking into a restaurant and the menu simply said: “Drink.” “Salad.” “Fish.” “Soup.” “Sandwich.” “Dessert.” Why just one word? Because there is only one option. You want a sandwich, then order the sandwich, because there is only one type. Same goes for the fish […]

THIS WEEK: EDUCATE YOURSELF

We live in the Information Age. That’s almost an understatement now. It’s hard to believe that just 20 years ago the Internet, as we know it, didn’t even exist. Neither did smart phones. Imagine not having the Internet or a smart phone. Yikes. Kind of […]

THIS MONTH: MONDAY GETS GLOBAL

In the words of comedian Steven Wright, “The world is a small place, but I wouldn’t want to paint it.” The world feels smaller today than ever. We get global news instantly on our devices. We follow someone’s Instagram feed and feel like we are actually vacationing with them in Bali or Egypt or Italy. And, in many cases, we can simply explore our own communities and experience a microcosm of the world—unique foods, types of exercise, live music, and even spiritual connections. So, yes, the world can feel pretty small. But, the question nowadays is whether or not we are embracing this “global-ness.” Are our differences celebrated or the opposite? It’s one thing to say that we like a certain type of food from a specific country, but how we feel in our heart towards their culture or their people is a separate, and more important, question. As our world gets smaller, our hope is that we seek connection… that we become one world. Sure, variety is the spice of life; but, at the core of it all, as equal members in this global community, are we really all that different? This month, get ready to explore the world and to honor the beauty and variety it has to offer, but do so with the mindset of togetherness… because we need that now more than ever. Being a global citizen matters. A big thank you to Holly and Andy for sharing your global journey with us.  Follow them on Instagram at: https://www.instagram.com/andydyche/ https://www.instagram.com/holly_bd/

THIS WEEK: SUPPORT A GLOBAL CAUSE

Many times we feel separate. Even when we hear the phrase, “It’s a small world,” it still seems pretty dang big. And, frankly, it is… which makes feeling separate from what’s happening on the other side of the globe a pretty easy way to feel. […]

THIS WEEK: LEARN YOUR ROOTS

Who are you? How did you get here? Where did your name come from? What is your story? For many of us, these are questions we don’t take enough time to answer, let alone ask. But why? Aren’t they interesting? Don’t they matter to us? […]

THIS WEEK: CELEBRATE CULTURE

Culture is an amazing phenomenon. It is a way of life that a group of people creates and embraces as their beliefs, values, symbols, norms, and behaviors. It is expressed through music, food, clothing, relationships, spirituality, and more. But, if we are not careful, we […]
