THIS WEEK: TRAIN YOUR BRAIN

There quietly exists an Eighth Wonder of the World that is actually responsible for the Seven Wonders of the World with which we are all familiar. It is the human brain. Weighing in at just three pounds, it is designed to send messages back and forth for our lungs to take in oxygen, our heart to pump blood, and our digestive system to grind food into fuel.

THIS WEEK: STAND TALL

There is a pretty darn good chance that most of us will either sit or stand at some point throughout the day. There is also a pretty good chance that most of us don’t really think about this much, but we should.

THIS MONTH: MONDAY GETS OPTIMISTIC

It’s the start of a new year. Can you feel it? Are you full of hope or full of doubt? Energized or reluctant? Optimistic, pessimistic or somewhere in between? Wherever you are and whatever you’re feeling, we’re going to launch into this year with a ton of optimism.

THIS WEEK: GET A GROUP

Human beings are social creatures that thrive off of relationships, connectedness, and community. Yes, even you “social introverts” need people. The problem is that we don’t do a very good job of actually living our lives this way. We spend more time living inside our […]

THIS WEEK: PROMOTE POSITIVITY

There is one choice we make every day. In every interaction with others, when we’re thinking to ourselves, even in what we choose to eat or not eat, do or not do. This choice is an “either-or,” “up” or “down,” or “hot” or “cold” choice. […]

THIS WEEK: GET ENERGIZED

Having dreams and turning them into reality, taking stock of your life and being willing to make positive changes, and looking to the year ahead, even though it feels like last year just started a few months ago, can be a little daunting. Add in […]

THIS WEEK: TAKE STOCK

At the start of the year, or when starting anything new for that matter, often times our instinct is the come out of the gates flying. It’s like 0-100 mph in 30 seconds. We love the zeal and excitement of this, but there can be […]

THIS WEEK: HAVE A DREAM

We have all heard or heard of Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream” speech. Search any “Best-Speeches-of-All-Time” lists and guaranteed it is on there. And, since today is both the first Monday and the first day of the New Year, we couldn’t think of […]

THIS MONTH: MONDAY GETS OPTIMISTIC

It’s the start of a new year. Time to work out, commit to more time with friends, start a hobby, or maybe even, get a new job. Our lists of New Year’s resolutions tend to be long and, typically, not set up for tons of success. So many resolutions, so little time in the day… or year, for that matter. But we want you to add one more resolution to your list. We know… so demanding of us. But the good news is that this resolution doesn’t require you to dedicate chunks of your time to it. You can do this one throughout your entire day, while doing whatever else you are doing, because it happens in your mind. It’s a choice. We want you to decide to make being optimistic a major theme in your life. Why? Because optimism encompasses three concepts that we love. Firstly, it shows that we believe there is a future. Secondly, it celebrates the fact that things can always get better. Thirdly, it puts us in a place of power because just by choosing to be optimistic, we are already living it. As Winston Churchill once said, “The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” Everything we create in our lives starts with our thoughts and attitudes. So let’s choose to look forward to the future and positively live our lives accordingly. Being optimistic matters.
