Students participating in SEL programs increased their academic performance 11%, compared to students who did not participate in SEL. (CASEL SEL Summary, 2019)
SEL decreased the likelihood of living in public housing, receiving public assistance, having police involvement, and ever spending time in a detention facility. (American Journal of Public Health, 2015)
The average ROI is 11 to 1, meaning for every dollar invested into SEL there is a return of $11. (Columbia University, 2016)
SEL programming can have a positive impact up to 18 years on academics, conduct problems, emotional distress, and drug use. (CASEL Meta-Analysis, 2017)
