Last month, one of our weeks focused on taking stock. With the beginning of the new year, we thought it was the perfect time to take inventory of our lives, to check our priorities, to see where and how much we were investing in certain aspects of our lives, and to challenge ourselves to put more energy into things that matter most. Chances are, by doing that little exercise, we all recognized one very important part of our lives… our relationships. We heard from so many people that by taking stock, they realized they weren’t doing the greatest job of growing and nurturing those important relationships in their life. Well, in order to keep the grass from growing under our feet, we thought this week would be the perfect time to CONNECT MORE DEEPLY. Most of us have many people in our lives… our family members, co-workers, schoolmates, volunteer pals, and, yes, even our social media followers. The number of people surrounding us quickly adds up… but that doesn’t mean we have tons of truly meaningful relationships. In fact, we might have a lot of acquaintances and only a few true friends, if we’re really honest about it. So, this week is all about going deep instead of wide. Focus on a few. Get together. Ask. Learn. Grow. Respect. Connecting deeply matters.
