Benjamin Franklin once said, “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.” We can all agree that these are some pretty wise words that have withstood the test of time. Getting clear on what we want to achieve in life, however big or small it is, is often the easy part. Much like cutting out pictures and words and creating a vision board is also pretty simple stuff. The real work is what comes next. So, this week, we want you to get smart about it and PLAN YOUR PLAN. The best plans truly are S.M.A.R.T. ones. They are Strategic, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely. Have you ever made a plan like this before? Do you think the majority of New Year’s resolutions are supported by plans like this? We would venture to say they probably aren’t, hence the extremely high failure rate of most of them. So let’s dedicate the proper time and thoughtfulness to smartly prepare for success. Let’s break it down into simple steps so we stay on track and methodically move toward our goal(s). And let’s always remember that all distractions are equal, meaning anything that distracts us from our plan requires us to create a new plan to get back on track. We know, so much planning… but that’s the point. Let’s not fail to plan. Planning your plan matters.
