You might experience this as a bit of a tongue twister or mind bender… There are things we know we know; things we know we don’t know; and things we don’t know we don’t know. Got it? Great. Because this is a perfect way for us to make sense of our knowledge base and where and how we can grow and learn. In other words, this framework can be energizing because it helps us understand what we know, but it also illustrates the areas and opportunities for growth. This is important, because this week, we want you to SHARPEN YOUR MIND. Let’s begin with the things we know we know. Maybe you learned how to speak another language and you know this to be true. Well, we can lose that skill if we don’t stay on top of it, practice, and use it on a consistent basis. Maybe you don’t know how to change the oil on your car, which most people don’t know how to do. Well, here is just one example of how you can sharpen your mind because it is an opportunity to learn something you know you don’t know. Finally, there is the fact that we don’t know what we don’t know. This is challenging for us humans because we would like to think we know at least a little about a lot… but we don’t. This presents an incredible opportunity for us to be open, curious, and welcoming of the unknown, which is the motherload of growth. So now that your mind is bent and you are still processing this premise, there is just one thing left to do. Sharpening your mind matters.
