THIS WEEK: TAKE THE FIRST STEP

A “fact” is defined as “a thing that is known or proven to be true. Information used as evidence or as part of a report or news article.” For so many years we all agreed that a fact was, in fact, a fact. Somehow this fact has changed and now there are multiple facts about the same fact and they are often completely opposing. But this week, we are going to focus on a fact that can’t be debated or argued or opposed. We want you to TAKE THE FIRST STEP. The fact is that you can’t get to steps 2, 3, or 4, unless you take step 1. We can hear it now, “Well, you can just skip the first step.” But the problem with that argument is that your first step will always be your first step, regardless if you skip any steps with it. Another fact is that you have taken countless first steps your entire life…and are actually really good at it. So in the spirit of being and creating something new this month, what is something you have always wanted to do, learn, explore, attempt that you haven’t taken the first step towards yet? Maybe it is a new hobby? Learning a new language or how to play a musical instrument? Or maybe it is slowing down and finding peace in the quiet spaces? Whatever it is, please embrace the fact that you might not be great at it in the beginning. Also, remind yourself that the fact you are trying deserves praise and celebration. Enjoy. Taking the first step matters…and that’s a fact.
