THIS WEEK: TRY IT

In life, there are things we know, things we know we don’t know, and things we don’t know that we don’t know. We will give you a second to piece all of that together. Okay, time’s up. It’s difficult to do much with the things we don’t know we don’t know and we’ll discover those along the way anyway. But, for the things that we know we don’t know, there is a lot of work we can do right now. So, this week is all about TRYING IT. The only way we can truly know something is by trying it. For example… Do you like sushi? Do you like skydiving? Do you like traveling? Do you like public speaking? Many of us might say, “No way.” But the real question is, “How do you know?” Now if you have tried it and decided you don’t like it, then you’re off the hook. That falls into the category of “Things We Know.” But how many things in your life fall into the “Things You Know You Don’t Know” bucket? Do you really know what sushi tastes like? Do you really know how it feels to jump out of any airplane or to speak in front of hundreds of people? Well, it’s time to find out. Find something in your life that you have said “No” to, without ever trying first and, well, try it. Trying new things matters.
